Football. UNI to Host North Dakota State in Season Opener
The University of Northern Iowa football team will open the 2010 season when it hosts North Dakota State on Saturday.
W. Volleyball. Panthers Head to Iowa State, Kansas Invitational
The No. 18 University of Northern Iowa volleyball team (5-1) will make the short trek to Ames, Iowa, for a mid-week match against intrastate rival and No. 11-ranked Iowa State Wednesday before hitting the road for the Kansas Invitational this weekend. UNI will face Arkansas-Little Rock and Winthrop in addition to host Kansas over the two-day tournament.
Daren Koudele Named UNI's Director of Athletic Compliance
University of Northern Iowa Director of Athletics Troy Dannen announced the hiring of Daren Koudele as UNI's Director of Athletic Compliance.
W. Volleyball. Blankenship, Burow Earn MVC Weekly Honors
A pair of University of Northern Iowa student-athletes earned Missouri Valley Conference weekly honors as Ellie Blankenship was named MVC Defensive Player of the Week while Michelle Burow was named MVC Player of the Week the league announced Tuesday.
W. Volleyball. Panthers Crack Top 20 in AVCA Coaches Poll
The University of Northern Iowa women's volleyball team jumped four spots to No. 18 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Coaches Poll. The Panthers were ranked No. 22 in last week's poll.
W. Soccer. Hawkeyes Blank Panthers, 6-0
WATERLOO, IOWA -- The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team fell behind early and allowed four second-half goals in a 6-0 loss to the University of Iowa on Sunday afternoon at the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex.

***Due to the Olympics on NBC, Panther Sports Talk will air Sunday morning at 10:30am the next two Sunday's.***
This Panther Sports Talk will bring another interiew with the men's basketball coach Ben Jacobson as they have two more MVC games, this week on the road. We'll preview the women's side of the track and field indoor season. We will also feature a senior three point specialist on the men's basketball team, and an inside view of the senior leadership that helped bring the swimming and diving program to its elevated height.

What a great weekend for UNI athletics on the court, the field, the mat, and in the pool. A great win for the women's basketball program over Bradley as they look to climb the conference stadnings the final weeks of the regular season. Congrats to the wrestlers that dominated a pair of duals. And how good is this years softballt eam going to be. They started the season just as they wanted to with some big wins as they displayed their big offense that broke out last season.

A reminder that Sunday's airing on KWWL will be at 11:30am instead of the usualy Sunday night time due to the Olympic Games.
