The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team will kick off its 2010 fall season in Des Moines this weekend at the Drake University Invitational.
The No. 18-ranked University of Northern Iowa women's volleyball team fell to No. 11-ranked Iowa State Wednesday evening. Set scores were 16-25, 20-25, 22-25.
The University of Northern Iowa women's golf team will start its fall season Thursday, Sept. 9, against the Creighton Bluejays in a dual match in Omaha, Neb. UNI will then travel to Normal, Ill., to take part in the Illinois State Invitational on Sept. 11-12.
The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team will play its first road matches of the season this weekend, taking on Green Bay on Friday evening and Western Michigan on Sunday morning.
The No. 18 University of Northern Iowa volleyball team (5-1) will make the short trek to Ames, Iowa, for a mid-week match against intrastate rival and No. 11-ranked Iowa State Wednesday before hitting the road for the Kansas Invitational this weekend. UNI will face Arkansas-Little Rock and Winthrop in addition to host Kansas over the two-day tournament.
